Eleanor Parker was an actress whose career spanned over 50 years with some 80 appearances in movies and television series.  She acted along side of Clark Gable, Robert Taylor, Kirk Douglas, Edward G. Robinson and Frank Sinatra. Her versatility led to her being dubbed Woman of a Thousand Faces. Eleanor earned a total three Oscar nominations for her work in Caged (1950), Detective Story (1951), and Interrupted Melody (1955). One of her most famous roles was playing Baroness Elsa Schrader in The Sound of Music (1965). Parker died on December 9, 2013 at 91 years of age due to complications of pneumonia.
